  2. Don’t think of me as an over-achiever. We’ve had numerous blackout lately that has made reading pretty much the only thing I can do in the evenings, sitting by emergency light. We’ll see how speedy my reading rate is now that our generator is working again. haha

  3. numerous *blackouts. Gah. My fingers move to fast for their own good, sometimes.

Also, I linked with MisterLinky, but I don’t see anything showing up yet. Did I do it right? Forgive my noobieness. 🙂

I happened to be reading The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes for another challenge and realized it is on the 1001 Books list. Score! I loved the book! I am still trying to familiarize myself with the list but it looks like I own a number of the books and haven’t read them yet. I’m looking forward to the next one.

Good reads so far this month… loved, loved, loved The Picture of Dorian Gray… so much to think about!

  7. I started this as a personal goal about two weeks ago! I am so glad that other people are doing this as well. I had decided that I was going to finish this list before I finished up in undergraduate school. I have another 2 1/2 year of school. I know this will be a challenge but I love to read and it is a great way to spend free time between classes, at the bus stop, etc! I am starting with Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy and I am about half way through. I just finished Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen and can’t wait to continue.

  8. Ok, I’m in and going for the Gold! I’m actually aiming for at least 52 this year. I am up to 12 so far, with 2 more in progress right now. I post reviews of these and other books on my blog at http://bethslistlove.wordpress.com . I am also reading from some other lists: Nobel winners, Pulitzers, Orange Prize, Man Booker, etc. I have found exploring these list to be a source of amazing pleasure, and am with you that I have discovered some great writers that I’d never have even heard of otherwise. Would love to hear from others doing the challenge. I’m also on Goodreads http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/4705693-beth and Bookcrossing (eparks4232), wildly freeing my books in random places when I finish with them. Just released Professor Martens’ Departure (which was great!!!) at Whole Foods yesterday.

I posted the same book twice (first under my blog name Canadian Bookworm, and then under Shonna) Can you please remove the second one. Sorry.
Not doing so well so far, although I’ve bought a few. Just need to read them now!
