Vote Tomorrow

Posted by Caitie F on November 1, 2010

Tomorrow is election day. So many people will not go out and vote because it isn’t what they call a major election. But every election is major and we all need to go out and vote. It is one of the most important things we can do as citizens.

I am pretty sure I won’t like the results of this election. The last two years have been pretty good in my mind. Yes, not everything has gotten done or have been perfect, but this is a really hard time in our country and I think some great things were passed. More could have been done if Republicans would have actually TRIED to have some bipartisanship and work with Democrats instead of just saying no to everything. I could go on about how much I dislike how Congress (especially the Senate) works, but that is another post for another day.

We can all still make a difference. While what happen in Washington is important, what goes on in your state House and Senate is important too. So are the people in your local government. So many people don’t go vote because they don’t think their vote will count or matter, but it does. Show the person they had some support and people do think they had some ideas.

I don’t care if you are voting Democrat or Republicans, just vote as an informed citizens. Don’t assume everyone on your side is the best, do your research tonight and go vote tomorrow.

  1. We’re at the beach, but plan to drive straight to our polling place when we leave tomorrow.
